Community Planning Forums kick-off in the North Valley on March 15

The Plan for a Healthy Los Angeles is teaming up with two other citywide planning initiatives for a series of roving community forums that kick-off in the North Valley on March 15.

Residents are invited to give feedback on three planning efforts that are shaping the future vision for Los Angeles:

  • Mobility Plan 2035: an update to the City’s transportation plan that lays a policy foundation to create a safe and efficient transportation network for all users.
  • Plan for a Healthy Los Angeles: a new public health initiative to create vibrant communities where the healthiest choice is the easiest choice, shop so that every Angeleno has the opportunity to thrive.
  • re:code LA: a comprehensive update of the City’s 1946 Zoning Code that will make it easier to create livable communities, encourage sustainable development, and foster economic vitality.

The open-house style format will give participants an opportunity to learn about various planning projects and their proposed policies and programs. The forum also serves as the public hearing for the Mobility Plan 2035 and Plan for a Healthy Los Angeles.

The first Planning Forum will be held in the North Valley area at the Granada Hills Recreation Center from 9 a.m. to noon.  Planning activities will be available for youth. We look forward to your participation!
